Responsibilities:
Percent
1. Interact with Development tem in designing solution and standard management 30%
a. Work with development team regularly to understand and define database issues.
b. Interact with management on various database related key issues.
c. Design Solutions for issues.
d. Follow, create and manage standardized database management.
2. Databases Management 60%
a. Ensure hardware resources are allocated to the databases.
b. Ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
c. Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
d. Troubleshoot and solve problems of SQL development.
e. Improve and maintain databases to include rollout and upgrades.
f. Implement and release database changes according to agreed timescales and costs.
Provide trend analysis to management team to enable to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
g. Design, implement and manage Database extract processes to peripheral database systems.
3. Perform other job duties as assigned. 10%
Knowledge/Experience/Education/Training:
· Minimum 5 years of experience as Application SQL Server Database Administration.
· Manage multiple SQL DBMS on large systems
· Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects
· Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
· Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures.
· Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Graduate degree in Information Systems minor.
· Insurance industry knowledge a plus
· Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
