EPIC Interface Architect
 
Job Summary: Under administrative direction, serves as a team lead performing strategic/architectural, operational, and tactical duties; serves as liaison; assists with development of system requirements and implementation of health informatics systems or systems modifications; maintains system administration and operational support activities; provides first level support for business and personal productivity within health informatics interfaces; defines, implements, protects, and maintains complex interface engines.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any and/or all of the following:

1. Leads interface analysts; participates in planning, selection, and installation of process changes in electronic health records (EHR) clinical interfaces; collaborates to establish data mapping plans and methods.

2. Provides advance end-user support; responds to software application, interface and database issues; reviews issue logs to identify patterns; tracks performance of vendor in resolving issues within target dates; plans and implements installation upgrades and development projects.

3. Evaluates and recommends improvements to EHR system; serves as liaison between departments and software vendor for specific applications; implements approved requests for interfaces to clinical systems; coordinates and maintains interface security.

4. Analyzes processes and related data to recommend automation improvements; leads and develops data translation routines and methods utilizing Cloverleaf’s Interface Engine toolset and standard querying and database tools.

5. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Extensive knowledge of Cloverleaf and Epic Bridges

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with five (5) years of related work experience. Certification in associated Epic Applications or Interface/Database products is required.
