Enterprise Architect
 
  Summary:
  • Working closely with various technology groups, the Architect will spearhead development and delivery of multigenerational strategic technology plans in response to the business and product roadmap.

Principal Accountabilities:      

  •  Oversee the conceptualization and implementation of a practical product architecture strategy, considering business trends and factors.
  • Formulate competitively differentiating product technology breakthroughs.
  • Drive programs that support increasing the organization's capacity for innovation.
  • Drive key initiatives focusing on bottom line growth (increased positive customer experience and accelerated product delivery) along with improved cost efficiencies (increase leverage & reuse and technology stack standardization).
  • Drive the evaluation, conceptualization, design, and integration of major new capabilities into software product lines, ensuring that product design and technology choices anticipate future needs, while satisfying short-term market requirements.
  • Enhance and develop product by supporting due diligence and planning for merger & acquisition integration
  • Create long-term prioritization plans for shared architecture development across the organization that supports integrated products, without sacrificing short-term goals and needs.
  • Enact processes for constantly improving the performance, scalability, extensibility, interoperability, reliability, availability, and usability of software products.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Lead and chair an Architecture Review Board.

 Job Requirements:

 ·         BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

·         10+ years individual technical achievement. Hands-on in software development and system architecture

·         Proven ability to drive enterprise architecture best practices broadly and deeply throughout an engineering organization, while able to articulate and convincingly influence key decision-makers on technology trends.

·         Strong business acumen, with experience in understanding and shaping technology investments in support of company strategy. Exposure to business theory, business process development, governance processes, management and budgeting.

·         Practical experience designing and building enterprise or distributed software systems.

·         Must demonstrate experience in the techniques used to build highly scalable, economically feasible and high-performing systems, both backend and web-based systems.

·         Must have experience managing large volumes of content, both structured and unstructured, and incorporating into high volume consumer-facing websites.

·         Expertise in optimizing the integration of multiple technologies to include:  OS (Windows/.Net, Unix/AIX), Relational Technology (SQL Server/Oracle), Enterprise Applications (SAP, SharePoint), Network (WAN, LAN, Internal and External internet)

·         Experience with BPM/BAM, Event based design, optimization

·         Experience architecting systems and software, and both SaaS and On-premises software delivery models.

·         Innovative thinker with excellent analysis and design skills.

·         Travel may be up to 10%.
