Under minimum supervision, formulates/defines system scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies solutions to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Responsibilities:
With minimum supervision, provides second-level support to end-users for packaged software application systems and confers with supervisor on unusual matters. May interact with network services, desktop services, computer operations, the software vendor and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems. Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. May adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet special needs. May recommend system modifications to reduce user problems or to enhance system use. Successfully utilizes Service Center and ITIL concepts for service requests, incidents, change management and release management according to the policies and procedures implemented for MISD.
Qualifications:
All organization & technical MISD Competencies appropriate for level (see other documents) - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. - Ability to complete simple to moderately complex project related tasks as a member of a project. Decision Making: Able to make guided decisions using provided information, & some research, with consultation from others. Scope at team level. Able to provide input into decisions impacting Mercy services. Analysis/Problem Solving: Able to analyze a simple situation and determine solutions based on provided information and guidance, with some individual research. Scope at individual or team level. Communication: Able to communicate simple to moderately complex ideas and information. Good written and verbal communication skills at peer, customer, and leadership level. Teamwork: Completes tasks given to accomplish group goal, functions as team member. Is polite, fair, and tactful when working with others, and responds in a timely manner. Fiscal Responsibility: Utilizes resources responsibly and cost efficiently. Able to offer suggestions for improved costs savings.
