This position is responsible for implementing business solutions utilizing all aspects of the system development life cycle. Strong analysis, design, organizational, and communication skills are required in addition to excellent PL/SQL, UNIX scripting and Oracle Database programming skills. Must have the ability to work well with a team in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels.   

 

Essential Position Functions:

·         Design, write, modify and test programs, reports, shell scripts and system interfaces

·         Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

·         Meet with user community on project requests to gather additional information

·         Create and maintain system and program documentation

·         Utilize the system development life cycle to take projects from inception through implementation

·         Perform unit and system testing during project development adhering to coding and testing standards

·         Create detailed design specifications as well as program specifications

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision and willingness to mentor other associates

·         Create data flow charts

·         Estimate and manage small to mid-sized projects

·         Have the desire and ability to learn new technologies

·         Share knowledge, communicate effectively and professionally

Job Requirements :

Technical Experience preferred:

·         Demonstrated competence in UNIX shell scripting, Oracle 10g/11g, SQL, PL/SQL is required.

·         Experience with VB.net Oracle Forms 6i, Oracle Reports and Crystal Reports is a plus.

 

Work Experience:

·         Prefer someone with at least 1-2 years full-time work experience.

·         We will consider a recent college graduate with a degree in Computer Science or MIS.
