  Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates expert understanding in all applications development processes, serving as a resource to others.
  • Works independently within technical area, applying in depth knowledge of multiple technologies, as appropriate.
  • Acts as a consultant to other professionals in AHIS. Understands architectural issues, and factors them into decisions and recommendations.
  • Provides technical leadership in their area of specialization.
  •  Understands changing business needs for the area supported and the subsequent impact on applications.
  • Advises customers on discrete business problems, formulates options including assessing their relative merits and risks, and works with customer(s) to determine the best solution.
  • Builds and maintains up-to-date knowledge about

Requirements:  

  • Collects and defines business requirements
  • Designs options and recommends solutions
  • Tests and debugs code
  • Troubleshoots applications
  • Maintenance of installed systems – monitors and maintains
  • Configuration Management
  • Designs technical requirements for an application
  • Implementation – installs applications and/or new releases
  • Participates in testing (e.g. user acceptance testing, unit, system, regression, integration testing)
  • Produces and maintains documentation
  • Provides user training and Participates in the RFP/RFI process

 Requirements:

  • 7 or more years experience
  • The ability to troubleshoot both software and hardware issues is desired.
  • An understanding of the patient care process and ordering/documentation within the clinical setting is desirable.
