QA Manager
 
  Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Manager will have the chance to apply software and management skills to manage the testing of complex healthcare inventory tracking software. You will work with a dynamic and hard working team to help improve the quality of our flagship product platform as well as new emerging projects/products. You will work closely with various groups including Development, Product Management, Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, IT and Implementation to find and correct individual and systematic problems, identify ease-of-use issues, and find the best models for automating and executing tests, and reporting test status.

 Responsibilities will include managing a team of excellent self driven software quality assurance testers, scheduling of quality assurance related tasks, reporting test status and metrics and where needed hands on testing and problem solving. You may also be asked to contribute in an assortment of ways to help the company succeed and help our customers.   Responsibilities also include leading QA testing efforts, as well working across the entire product team to direct and influence quality improvement initiatives in all aspects of software production.

Qualifications: 

5+ years in Software Product Quality Assurance Management

• 3-5 years hands-on software product quality assurance testing

• 2-3 years experience in automated Test Case Management Tools

• 1-3 years experience with Automated Regression tools

• 3-5 years in full life cycle software quality assurance testing

• Understanding of SDLC
• Experience in managing simultaneous multiple projects
• Excellent logic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Self-starter, who is detailed, thorough, organized, and has a proven ability to prioritize and scope work
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to inspire, motivate and care for employees while looking out for company viability
• Ability to advocate for product quality with employees, peers and managers
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Extensive experience with software development best practices, lifecycle, and agile or scrum methodology
• Extensive experience with QA techniques and methodology: developing test plans, designing, implementing, executing and analyzing test cases, writing and interpreting reports, reporting testing status, creating defect and code coverage metrics, and assessing risk. Create and/or critically review test designs, plans, and results.
• Thorough understanding of relational databases
• Experience in analyzing the various features in a release and recommend suitable test strategy to achieve greater product quality for each release.
• Knowledge of object oriented programming, preferred
• Define and institutionalize ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams
• Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams involved

DESIRED Education, Skills & Experience

 
• B.S. in Computer Science or Information Services or equivalent QA certifications and experience
• Quality Assurance Testing Certification
• Knowledge in Automated Test Case Management Tools

• Knowledge in Automated Regression Tools

• Knowledge in Agile Development processes
