Basic Purpose: Responsible for leading the company’s Web technology Applications.　This dynamic role is responsible for facilitating successful customer adoption of our client facing web and desktop tools by focusing on ensuring a quality customer experience that is superior in our markets. Responsible for analysis, design, programming, database architecture, project implementation and production support of mid to large size software applications. Responsible for collaborating with members of the business community, technical team members and other stakeholders of the project. Assist with off site hosting oversight, and developing and maintaining web coding and tool standards.

·　　Technical lead for the division’s web and client-server developers.

·　　Design complex applications and data structures to meet customer’s functional　　 requirements.

·　　Resolves technical problems within team and mediates conflicts.

·　　Creates Documentation for the Design

·　　Develops, modifies, tests and installs moderate to complex Web software applications and data structures that meets the technical requirements.

·　　Performs Code review.

·　　Maintain the web development environment based on current versions of Microsoft technologies and manage technology toolset upgrades on an ongoing basis

·　　Guide project managers and web developers through formal web development life cycle

·　　Maintain and enhance the web services layer of the site

·　　Maintain vendor partner relationships on private labeled technologies

·　　Manage rollout and implementation of new functionality into business departments and to customers and agents in the field

· Work with customer constituencies to regularly identify site enhancement needs
　

·　　Drive identification and development of site fixes and small enhancements

·　　Manage issue tracking workflow

·　　Deliver formal technology presentations to customers at off site conferences and meetings

·　　Attend trade shows and conferences to stay abreast of insurance technology

·　　Identify hardware needs and define and oversee projects for web infrastructure enhancements

·　　Collaborate with corporate Data Center management on infrastructure hosting and upgrade implementation

·　Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or BS in Business with Information Systems minor a plus

·　Master’s level degree a plus

·　Minimum 5 years experience in the IT industry using Microsoft web and database technologies

·　Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience

·　Ability to work independently and interact directly with members of the user community and customer community

·　Knowledge of insurance industry a plus

·　Experience in logical and physical data modeling and database design

·　Strong oral and verbal communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and business partners
